Note: Due to HVAC issues, the historic 1846 gallery is temporarily closed until the end of July 2021.
This Greek-Revival building built in 1846, served as the Norfolk County Courthouse until 1960. It is now home to the Portsmouth Art & Cultural Center, with two spacious galleries of ever-changing exhibits. The museum is also host to a variety of workshops, lectures, classes and performances that showcase art by regional and world-renowned artists in Olde Towne. And the courtyard is usually a buzz with artist demonstrations and live music on First Friday’s from May through October.
The building’s Art Annex and courtyard are available for meetings and small receptions.
