A stop on the Path to History, Gosport Park tells the story of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard from the time of its beginning in 1767 as a private shipbuilding facility owned by Andrew Sprowle through the days of building the first aircraft carrier and both World Wars. You will see ship propellors, ship guns, and even a submarine sail. There are fourteen Path to History interpretive signs located inside the park.
